I guess it is something all of us felt at one moment in our lives. The close to uncontrollable urge to kill someone. Most possible your boss when he tell you you wont be getting your Xmas present this year because of budget cuts, moments before he drives of in his new BMW 7 series (true story), or the annoying kid in the shopping cart at the mall that is kicking your cart and his mom isn’t doing nothing. She believes in free parenting. I am sure there are a million of these little examples.

Yet 99,8% of us don’t act on these impulses! yet…..some of us do.Meet Dexter, a friendly, seemingly do good forensic blood-splatter specialist for the miami metro police. He brings donuts to his fellow officers, he has a girlfriend and a close to normal relationship with his sister debra.

All seems well in Casa El Dextero, maybe to well. And yes it is. Dexter fakes is well adjusted persona. He feels and emptiness, that to him is an void that needs to be filled. He is a SERIAL KILLER. Following the code of harry thathis stepfather gave him, he hunts down the other guys that go bump in the night……and cuts them to pieces.In my opinion Dexter both the character and the series is an indepth study of the human psyche and what makes us human. Dexter is both lovable in his need to understand human emotions, to desperately feel. But on the other hand is cold and unmerciful in dealing with all those who slip the maze of justice. A truly chilling and thrilling ride that leave you wondering what next. Also the plot device is very good, in this case murder, where we are used that in most stories the killers is brought to justice in this case justice is the killer. Also the double life and the palpable fear of looking at something you feel maybe you shouldn’t see makes the character of Dexter identifiable and own-able. And always the question remains, is it bad to do bad things in order to do good or is it good to do good things in order to do bad. And of course…..will he be caught.Definite must see!!
